Pops and crackles that can be heard when turning dials such as Sound, Volume, and Voicing, and when pressing the chord buttons to change/add notes, are known firmware-related bugs that were resolved in our v4.0.1 firmware update.
What to do: To resolve these issues, head over to our firmware page and update your Orchid to the latest version. A full list of other features and fixes from v4.0.1 is listed here.
If you are noticing buzzing or distortion coming from your Orchid's speakers only, this may be a separate hardware-related fault. Contact support@telepathicinstruments.com with your serial number (the 17-digit ID starting with "ORC-XXX") and a short video of the fault, if possible. This will help our team diagnose the problem more quickly. If your Orchid is confirmed with a hardware fault, we will arrange for a replacement unit.
